Here's what people ask us
H2OBros recommends every 2–3 months for most South Florida homes. Florida's combination of salt air, hard water sprinkler residue, and high humidity causes buildup that accumulates faster than in inland or northern climates. Coastal homes near the Atlantic Ocean or the Intracoastal Waterway — where airborne salt exposure is highest — often benefit from monthly or bi-monthly service. At minimum, twice per year is a baseline for any South Florida home, though less frequent cleaning increases the risk of mineral deposits etching permanently into the glass.
The white film on South Florida windows is caused by two things: hard water mineral deposits and salt air residue. Hard water from irrigation sprinklers leaves calcium and magnesium compounds on the glass surface every time they run. Salt air from coastal proximity deposits a fine mineral layer that oxidizes over time. Both forms of buildup are removable when treated early. If left untreated for extended periods, hard water minerals etch into the glass surface and cause permanent damage that cannot be cleaned — only ground out or replaced. H2OBros removes existing buildup and offers nano coating treatment to prevent future deposits from bonding to the glass.
Window cleaning removes existing dirt, mineral deposits, and residue from the glass surface. Nano coating is a protective treatment applied after cleaning that creates a hydrophobic barrier on the glass, preventing future deposits from bonding. H2OBros offers both services separately and as a combined treatment. Cleaning restores the current condition of your windows. Nano coating protects that condition going forward.
